FARM Field Trip

Little Lambs have had sooo much fun learning about farms.  We talked about the different types of animals that live on a farm, we made all the animal noises, discussed what sights and smells we would find on a farm.  We then headed to the farm to experience it all first hand.

First we went to visit Little Lamb at the Layton Farm (thanks Dan and Ann Layton!).  All the animals were corraled and eager to meet all the little kids.  The donkeys, horses, and cows approached us hungry and wanting us to feed them their yummy grass.

We even got to explore the BIG RED BARN and smell and touch the straw!

Say "MOOO"

We then headed to the Dibble Farm where we could see how food is grown on a farm.  Farmer Dibble (thanks so much Ken!) took us a trailer ride...pulled by his tractor.  We saw the Dibble Farm where they grow pumpkins, squash, potatoes, and other yummy vegetables.  Farmer Dibble let each child choose a pumpkin to take home.
