D is for Donuts/ F is for Firefighters

Little Lambs LOVE Donuts!  We loved getting to see how donuts are made, feel the dough, and then eat a yummy donut!  Thanks Krispy Kreme!

The Little Lambs sure loved their tour of the Layton Fire Station.  We are so grateful for such brave men and women that are willing to put their lives in danger to take care of emergencies!  We loved seeing their station and learning how to "Stop. Drop. and Roll" and then crawl to safety.  We LOVED getting to hear the sirens of the fire truck and climb inside the cab of the truck!

B- Teddy Bear Picnic

While learning about B - we've studied Bears and Bubbles and played Blocks and Bingo.  We then took our Teddy Bears on a picnic.  We had all the yummy food that bears would eat...fish, bread with honey, and blue berries!

We made sure the bears had fun on their teddy bear picnic.  We let the bears play on the toys at the park.  My favorite was when the bears all crossed the monkey bars!
This class decided to have their bears have a nap after they ate their lunch!

FARM Field Trip

Little Lambs have had sooo much fun learning about farms.  We talked about the different types of animals that live on a farm, we made all the animal noises, discussed what sights and smells we would find on a farm.  We then headed to the farm to experience it all first hand.

First we went to visit Little Lamb at the Layton Farm (thanks Dan and Ann Layton!).  All the animals were corraled and eager to meet all the little kids.  The donkeys, horses, and cows approached us hungry and wanting us to feed them their yummy grass.

We even got to explore the BIG RED BARN and smell and touch the straw!

Say "MOOO"

We then headed to the Dibble Farm where we could see how food is grown on a farm.  Farmer Dibble (thanks so much Ken!) took us a trailer ride...pulled by his tractor.  We saw the Dibble Farm where they grow pumpkins, squash, potatoes, and other yummy vegetables.  Farmer Dibble let each child choose a pumpkin to take home.

Preschool Open House

Welcome to Mary's Little Lambs Preschool - Down on the Farm!
Meet Miss Mary and her Little Lamb!

Families had a great time visiting "the farm."  They got to pet Little Lamb (who was terrified and really hid in the corner) and have fresh corn on the cob.  There was also an opportunity for them to get their pictures taken on the tractor! (Thanks to Chase Stevenson!)
